Reuben Sandwich

A quick and easy grilled classic oozing with pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and tangy sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of marble rye or pumpernickel bread
  • 6 slices of beef pastrami OR corned beef 
  • 4 slices of Swiss cheese 
  • 3/4 cup wine sauerkraut, squeezed to remove brine
  • 3 tablespoons Thousand Island dressing 
  • 2 tablespoons butter 


Instructionsy:

  1. Butter 1 side of each bread slice and place 2 slices butter side down in cold nonstick skillet.
  2. Start assembling each of the two bread slices  in the pan with the pastrami, wine sauerkraut, Thousand Island dressing and Swiss cheese.
  3. Top with the remaining 2 bread slices, butter side up and grill each side for 3 minutes on medium heat or until golden brown.

Serve with a side of pickles and enjoy!
